It started with a tile shop in Sandakan.

Our founder Michelle Fong began her career in tiles and ceramics. Years of learning what makes a home last grew into Mega Solution and, in 2025, Cabchen. Today our team brings more than 50 years of combined experience into every home we touch.

Where is Cabchen based and which areas do you cover?

We have two showrooms: Iramanis (Jalan Lintas, Kota Kinabalu) and Penampang (Villa Tropikana, Jalan Pintas Penampang). We work on homes around Kota Kinabalu and greater Sabah. Tell us where you are in the planner and we will confirm we can cover your project.

Do you only do kitchens?

Not at all. We design and build kitchens, custom cabinetry and furniture (wardrobes, TV walls, display cabinets), bathrooms and whole-home renovations. We also sell appliances and fittings, with after-sales support.

How much does a kitchen or cabinet renovation cost?

Kitchen cabinets start from RM200 per foot run for a bottom cabinet in melamine, with quartz worktops from RM180 per foot run. Wardrobes start from RM400 per foot run and bathrooms from RM10,000. Your real number depends on size, layout, board and door finish, worktop and appliances, so we measure for free and give you a written quotation before you commit.

Do you design in 3D before building?

Yes. Design and consultancy includes 2D layout planning and 3D visualisation, so you can see the space, change your mind and fine-tune it before production starts.

Can you help before my renovation starts, or before I get my keys?

Yes, and early is the best time to talk to us. Share your floor plan and timing in the planner and we will tell you what can be prepared before vacant possession and what needs a site measurement.

Which cabinet materials suit Sabah's humid climate?

Our humidity affects boards, edges and hinges in different ways. During design we advise suitable board, finish and hardware options for each area of your home, from the wet kitchen to the wardrobe. Our materials guide explains the main choices.
